2017 Year of the Companion Animal

Making 2017 Year of the Companion Animal. Green Pets America Charities is not your basic “rescue the dogs” non-profit group. We make it our mission to fill in the gaps in animal welfare. In addition to Ideas Institute Atlanta, Black Dog Syndrome.org, Green Pets Europe, Companion Animal Rights.org, We Are Rescue Ga. and our book, Rescue Renew Rehome, Green Pets America Charities is bringing lots of exciting new and innovative programs under the Green Pets America Charities umbrella for 2017. Watch as we roll each one out.

Why Small Nonprofits Stay Small Nonprofits

Ever question why small nonprofits stay small nonprofits

Are you the Voice in your nonprofit, or are you merely an echo of whatever everyone else is doing in your nonprofit area?

Do you lead from the front or push from behind?

I’ve played in the big pond and also in the little pond. I have been a fortune 100 executive leader and a leader and founder of a small nonprofit. Having been in both ponds I’ve learned that small nonprofits stay small...because they think small.

They see themselves as small and therefore make their decisions accordingly. They see the future from a small lens, not a wide lens. They focus on what they don’t have instead of focusing on what they do have and can create more of. I have been there, it is very easy to do. But, when that is done the future turns out small as well. The truth is we can only create from the lens and the filter we view life through.

If you are a small nonprofit leader{donations under 2 million} and want to break outside the box then please contact us.

We focus on helping small nonprofits become big nonprofits.

Growth doesn’t start with programs or donations or more staff. It starts with changing the thinking of the Leader.

At Ideas Institute Atlanta we are not all things to all people. My coaching or mentoring focus is solely on nonprofit founders or Executive Directors.

Would you support a Federal Companion Animal Rights Act?

What do you think? Would you support a Federal Companion Animal Rights Act?

Should companion animals in America have a right to life? After you read this please give us your thoughts.

Throughout civilization, nations have codified the basic and essential rights of their society —rights that all agree must not be infringed upon by the government or other individuals or entities. In the United States, our Bill of Rights enumerates our societies enlightened cherished and essential rights including life and liberty and freedom from harm.

There is however no bill of rights for our companion animals in America. Every year over 4 million companion animals in America are killed in our animal shelters. Why? because companion animals are legally labeled merely as “Things” in the eyes of the law.

CARA is about bringing the basic and essential rights of life and freedom from harm abuse, harm, punishment and death to companion animals in America.

Would you support a Federal Companion Animal Rights Act?

We know from science however that companion animals are sentient beings, as we are: they have feelings and emotions, have intelligence and feel pain and happiness, just as we do. In the 21st century companion animals must not be labeled by lawyers as things. A car is a thing. A dog or cat is not an unfeeling, unintelligent lifeless thing. It is a sentient being just as you are.

Many countries around the world have changed their laws to treat animals with rights as sentient beings. America must get on board as well. Help Green Pets America Charities change the law in America.

Please join CARA as we work for legal personhood for companion animals, and passing a National Companion Animal Rights Act – CARA.

“I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Gandhi.

So whats your opinion?  Would you support a Federal Companion Animal Rights Act?
