What do you do, when you no longer know what to do?
Sometimes great events occur in our lives and we lose our purpose. It happened to me, not once but three times in my life.
First when I lost my belief in what I was doing. I decided to leave the corporate world at the height of my career.
The second time when I was given three months to live and with grace I survived.
And the third time when I suffered a major stroke at the beginning of this year.
Through grace and through digging deep into my subconscious mind, and my thirty years of practice of Taoism, and Transcendental meditation I found my way back all three times. I not only survived but I thrived and flourished. Each time achieving an even higher level of consciousness, gratitude, and success.
Today I am the Licensee, and creator of TEDx Dupree Park. I am also the Executive Director of a humanitarian animal charity: a top 1% Charity, and a mentor and coach to those who have lost their life’s purpose, no longer know who they are, what they want, and even what they believe in.
The theme for our TEDx event is Seeding Greatness. I chose it because I know from experience in my life and other’s lives that there are seeds of greatness and genius planted at incarnation within each of us. However, as long as things are going ok they never germinate and they never grow and flourish. But in times of storms, loss, or deep adversity when we hit a hard wall of unknowing, they come to life.
When we reach a place, on our life’s path that we no longer know what to do, we can go deep within and awaken that genius within us. That genius within will know exactly what to do. It has all the resources and knowledge of the Universe at its beck and call. If you ask you will receive. And if you knock a door will be opened.
This is not happy talk. It works. It always has and always will. Steven Monahan
